Sleep Quality

Everyone is talking about sleep these days.  Arguably it is the most important factor that we can influence in our mental and physical health.  Anyone who has struggled with sleep knows the difference it can make.  The neuroscience also tells us that it isn’t just about the amount of sleep we get, but also the quality and balance between the different stages of sleep.

Hypnosis comes from the Greek word for ‘sleep’ and clinical hypnosis can provide short term strategies to help you get to sleep and stay asleep. However, the solution focused approach will also allow us to explore the aspects of your life that might be getting in the way of good sleep and work to improve these.  This might be as simple as some bad habits you’ve picked up along the way that are interfering with sleep.  Or it could be that a busy mind, anxiety or depression are playing a part.

Throughout the process we will explore how the brain works, why sleep is so important to our mental health and wellbeing, and how we can support good sleep.  Armed with this information you will be able to make your own choices about the changes you want to make and feel confident in the strategies we develop together over time.
